Nick Tienstra - Factory Manager

After leaving school Nick started a 4 year apprenticeship in Plastic Engineering at Nuon Industries, and scored the highest Trade Certificate mark in New Zealand the year he did his examinations. Nick has extensive experience on extrusion blow moulding machines, co-extrusion blow moulding machines, injection moulding machines. He also has experience on Nisei and Aoki Stretch blow moulding machines.

At the end of the apprenticeship Nick ran Amcor P.E.T shifts for a period of time and then moved up to project work. This included rebuilding a co-extrusion blow moulding machine, testing many new bottle moulds (preform testing and robotic preform handling), and the beginnings of a two-stage P.E.T blow moulding project.

After 14 years with Amcor, Nick began his time at LinkPlas. His first role was as a team leader and as LinkPlas grew, Nick’s position grew into factory manager. Nick was involved with the factory layout plans at the Bush Road site. Nick designed and built all the take-out equipment which run on our two large Aoki 250LL machines. Nick looks after the entire factory side including all quality, maintenance and has a loyal staff following.

Nick has a wealth of knowledge from an entire career in plastic manufacturing and is passionate about running the LinkPlas factory to the highest standards.

 Carol McBeth - Accounts

Carol spent her early years living in Spain and completed tertiary studies in business in the United Kingdom.

Carol has worked in South Africa and New Zealand as a personal assistant/secretary to management in a variety of industries including car manufacturing, earthmoving equipment, transport, wetsuit manufacturing, insurance and training. 

In February 2006 Carol joined the team at LinkPlas as a part-time accounts administrator. The role encompasses in-depth accounting responsibilities and and expectation to provide efficient and friendly service to customers, management and staff .
